What is Dad’s Day?

Dad’s Day provides an opportunity for students and their Dads (or moms or Grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) to spend quality time with each other listening to an inspirational speaker over breakfast. Ask anyone who has attended a Dad’s Day Breakfast-getting up early is a small price to pay for the bonds created during these special mornings with our children!

Next Dad’s Day: Friday, February 10, 2023

Speaker: Steve Perkins

Doors open and breakfast at 6:30 am
Program starts promptly at 7 am

Steve who has taught Latin at Guerin Catholic since 2021, has quickly become a favorite of GC students. Steve is a native Hoosier from New Albany, Indiana and is the author of numerous books and articles in the field of Classical Studies, including the popular Latin For Dummies. In addition to being the 2014 Indiana Teacher of the Year, Steve was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Mike Pence in 2014.

When he is not teaching and writing he hosts a Christian hard rock and heavy metal podcast called The Wildman & Steve Show, but most of all he loves spending time with his wife Melissa and their children Austin and Olivia.

Cost of each Dad’s Day Breakfast is $8/per person

Note: Dad’s Day Annual Pass holders do not need to register again for this event. If you did not buy an Annual Pass for your student, please go in and register them for the event.
