The HSPT is composed of subtests in areas of Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Math, and Language. Guerin Catholic does administer the Religion section of the HSPT test which allots 30 minutes of testing time. The results of the Religion section are not included in the total composite percentage of the HSPT results. The Guerin Catholic Theology Dept. reviews the Religion section results to help assess curriculum development for that incoming class.
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) will be offered during a Summer Prep Course and on three Saturdays during the fall.
High School Placement Test (HSPT) 2019 Summer Preparation Course
(for rising 8th graders)
This one-week HSPT Summer Prep Course prepares students for test taking, including study tips and techniques and good habits. Students will take an actual HSPT on Friday of the course. This test will fulfill the HSPT requirement for application to Guerin Catholic and other schools using the HSPT.
Students will benefit from spending time on our 72-acre campus, all while meeting staff and current students who will share thoughts on what it takes to be a successful high school student.
