Join us for our annual Fine Arts Kickoff on August 15, 2026!
A morning dedicated to making sure you’re set up for a successful year in the Guerin Catholic Fine Arts Department!
9 AM – 12 PM: Music Department Student Retreat (Mandatory for all musicians)
Our music department will kick off the year with a few hours together bonding, learning music, and discovering what makes our department great!
9 AM – 10 AM: New Fine Arts Parent Meeting
All parents are welcome to meet with our Fine Arts Director, Mrs. Marcia Murphy, and our Fine Arts Assistant Director, Mrs. Angie Goćur, as we talk through the logistics of what the year will look like for all students who want to be involved in the arts at Guerin Catholic. We’ll specifically go through music and theatre schedules for rehearsals and performance, talk about all the ways to get involved on and off the stage, offer ways for parents to get involved, and talk about the purpose of our department and how it guides all we do!
12 PM: Music Department Performance
Our Music Department will take to the stage for the first time this year, and briefly perform for our community. All are welcome to this performance in the St. Francis Auditorium!
12 PM – 1 PM: Fine Arts Kickoff
We’ll have used concert attire for purchase, raffles, schedules for all ensembles and shows for the year, and the chance to talk with the Fine Arts staff! All Fine Arts Families (music, theatre, art) are encouraged to attend!
1 PM: 26-27 Show Announcement & Raffle Winners
We’ll conclude our day by announcing the 26-27 Winter Play and Spring Musical and announce our raffles winners!
