The Indiana General Assembly established the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program, commonly referred to as the “voucher” program, which provides scholarships to eligible Indiana students to offset the costs at participating schools. Guerin Catholic High School is participating in the Indiana Choice Scholarship program. Starting with the 2026-27 school year, every Guerin Catholic student is eligible to receive the Choice Scholarship. There is no longer an income eligibility requirement.
The award amount of the Choice Scholarship is based on the District of Residence (the public school corporation) in which the student lives. Click here for estimated award amounts based on your District of Residence.
Guerin Catholic processes student applications for this scholarship on behalf of families and submits them to the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). Families will be provided with more information regarding the Choice application process as part of the enrollment process.
If a family is not seeking tuition assistance beyond the Choice Scholarship, a tuition assistance application is NOT required.
Families Seeking Tuition Assistance Beyond the Choice Scholarship
Guerin Catholic will make every effort to assist families with a demonstrated financial need. Our goal is to meet 100% of the calculated financial need of our families. Recognizing that each family situation is unique, Guerin Catholic uses an individualized approach tailored to each family, and we encourage families to inform us of any special circumstances. We work to ensure that tuition assistance is distributed equitably based on calculated financial need.
All families seeking tuition assistance in addition to the Choice Scholarship are required to complete an application for aid on the FACTS website.
If a family is not seeking tuition assistance beyond [OR If a family is only requesting] the Choice Scholarship, a tuition assistance application is NOT required.

In general, families with an annual household income below the Annual Income Limit in the chart below may be eligible for tuition assistance beyond a Choice Scholarship. Please be aware:

Applications for tuition assistance for the 2026-2027 school year can be submitted online through the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, beginning September 1, 2025. The following are the tuition assistance application deadlines for the 26-27 school year:
Families with new students: due December 1, 2025
Families with only returning students: due March 1, 2026
The amount of tuition that a family is expected to pay is calculated based on the completed family’s FACTS profile, along with their most recent income tax and W-2 forms. FACTS uses the information submitted and presents Guerin Catholic High School with an estimate of how much a family should be able to pay toward the cost of educating their children.
FACTS also considers family assets in determining their estimate of a parent’s ability to pay tuition. A portion of parental assets is considered as available to pay tuition and is included in the calculation.
The income figures used are based on the prior tax year. For example, a family with a new student planning to attend Guerin Catholic High School beginning in August of 2026 would need to provide their completed 2024 Federal Tax Return and 2024 W-2s by December 1, 2025. Tuition Assistance eligibility would be based on 2024 tax documents. Returning students need to provide their completed 2025 Federal Tax Return and 2025 W-2s by March 1, 2026.
This calculation is repeated annually, using updated information. Therefore, the amount of tuition assistance is not guaranteed in future years and may increase or decrease based on changes in your FACTS application profile and your most recent tax documentation.
Families must submit a new application in FACTS each year to re-establish eligibility for needs-based tuition assistance.
When awarding tuition assistance beyond a Choice Scholarship, Guerin Catholic High School adheres to the following principles:
- To the extent they are able, parents have the primary responsibility to contribute to the educational expenses of their high school-aged children before Guerin Catholic High School awards tuition assistance.
- Families should contribute to educational expenses according to their ability. Those with similar financial profiles should contribute similar amounts.
- Tuition assistance is awarded based on financial need as determined by the information provided on an applicant’s FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment (FACTS) profile and supporting tax and wage information.
- Both income and assets, including business income and assets, are considered when assessing the parents’ ability to pay.
- In cases of separation or divorce, we expect both parents to contribute to the cost of a student’s education. FACTS will compute separate amounts that the custodial and noncustodial parents will be expected to pay towards tuition, using the same methodology in each case. The contributions from each parent will be combined to determine the total parent contribution.
- All records and conversations between the tuition assistance applicant, his/her family, and the staff of the Business Office are confidential.
