IB Latin SL
Prerequisite: Latin III and teacher recommendation
The IB Latin curriculum will follow the IB Standard Level syllabus. During the first half of the course, students will hone their translation skills by translating and reading excerpts from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. In the second half of the course, students will hone their skills in literary criticism by reading Roman love poets (Catullus and Horace) as well as a section of Vergil’s Aeneid. The course is designed to help students achieve to their highest potential on the IB examination.
