Speaker: Charlie Walker

Title of talk: Inspiration for the Journey

In his talk, Charlie will share a glimpse of his multifaceted career, but will primarily focus on the role faith has played in his life. Included will be insights into how his son Christian has made his faith come alive in such beautiful ways.

Charlie Walker is a jeweler by trade, with hand-crafted fabrication as his specialty. His business serves clients around the world. He also restores Church antiquities such as chalices, ciboria, and monstrances. As matter-of-fact, he recently restored Bishop Higi’s chalice that currently resides at Guerin Catholic.

Charlie is also a helicopter pilot, and founded Indiana Air Search and Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to community service, the preservation of Historic aircraft, and honoring veterans – in addition to search and rescue efforts.

Charlie and his wife Becky have been married for 31 years and are the parents of two adopted children, daughter Allison. and son Christian – a young man with cerebral palsy.

Doors open and breakfast at 6:30 am

What is Dad’s Day?

Dad’s Day provides an opportunity for students and their Dads (or moms or Grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) to spend quality time with each other listening to an inspirational speaker over breakfast. Ask anyone who has attended a Dad’s Day Breakfast-getting up early is a small price to pay for the bonds created during these special mornings with our children!

As always, moms are welcome to attend as well. Please be sure to register soon to attend this special morning with your child!

Cost of each Dad’s Day Breakfast is $10/per person and includes a full breakfast.

Note: Dad’s Day Annual Pass holders do not need to register again for this event. If you did not buy an Annual Pass for your student, please register them for the event.
