There is so much to share about what is going on at Guerin Catholic! NOW: A great deal of space in this year’s Impact Magazine is devoted to the Unite+Build+Soar capital campaign currently underway, so I will begin there. In 2004, the dream of a group of visionaries came to fruition when St. Theodore Guerin High School opened its doors to 103 students— perhaps some of you! Since that day, the school has thrived. When the 2022-23 school year began, we welcomed 774 students—our highest enrollment numbers ever. Next year we expect to be at our capacity of ~810 students! Those same visionaries developed a masterplan to account for the growth of the school. Outdoor athletic facilities have been added over the years and a second academic wing was added in 2013 to accommodate a growing student population. The last two pieces of the original master plan include an auditorium and additional gym space. Our current capital campaign— Unite+Build+Soar—will raise the necessary funds to meet those needs. We have launched the public phase of our campaign and have raised nearly $19M toward our $26M goal. Whether you are an alum, a current or past parent, or simply a friend of the school, we need your help. Please consider making a gift to the campaign and allow us to continue the work of forming young people in the faith. In addition, please pray for the success of the campaign. SOON: Next, I would be remiss if I did not extend Christmas season’s greetings to all! The faculty and staff of Guerin Catholic High School wish everyone in the school community a blessed Christmas season! We are excited to take some time away to spend with loved ones and we pray you have that opportunity as well. We are so blessed at Guerin Catholic and the holiday season is a great time to reflect on those blessings. It is our biggest celebration of the year—a time for fellowship while gathering in support of our shared mission.
