An Unprecedented Spring Season The Golden Eagles soared to unprecedented heights as the Spring of ’22 will go down as one for the history books! Girls Lacrosse In longtime Head Coach Brian Billand’s final season, the Girls Lacrosse team completed a storybook ending to an incredible year. On a blisteringly hot day in June, the Golden Eagles took down Carmel High School by a score of 7-6 with a last minute goal by Mariah Ross ’22 assisted by Katherine Constantino ’24. The thrilling finish in the final minute capped off a perfect, undefeated 20-0 season which is the first girls sport state championship in school history. The season included a Circle City Conference championship, the school’s first ever sectional championship, a #1 ranking and Ella Bellflower ’22 being named an All-American for the second straight year. The girls lacrosse team celebrates goalie Ruth Abdalla ’24 as she receives her state medal. Abdalla made nine saves in the State Championship game against Carmel High School.
