Deacon Rick Wagner invites Guerin Catholic parents & community members to a “mini-retreat” experience on Saturday, April 23rd from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m, hosted at GCHS. The retreat is a scaled-down version of the Guerin Catholic staff retreat held in August and is titled, God Needs Storytellers.

God is constantly tapping us on the shoulder, letting us know he is actively engaged in our lives. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, many people do not recognize God’s presence, or perhaps recognize it but keep it to themselves.

That is where we come in – God needs storytellers! By virtue of our baptism, we – all Christians – have an obligation to proclaim the gospel. “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

This retreat experience will explore our role as storytellers, answering questions such as:
*What do we mean by ‘storytelling’?
*Why is it important – especially now?
*What type of stories should we be sharing?

The mini-retreat will include presentations by Deacon Rick and small group discussion…and includes lunch!

There is no cost to attend the mini-retreat, but we do require an RSVP for planning purposes.
