Prerequisite: None

Aloha! Ukulele Ensemble is a course intended for both beginners and intermediate ukulele players who have played ukulele for a while on their own. This class would assist students in getting beyond very basic skills and provide an opportunity for students to start playing in a group. Student participation will develop elements of musicianship including, but not limited to tone production; technical skills; intonation; music reading skills and analyzing music. The primary goals of this class are to keep the material as accessible, relevant, appropriately paced, and clearly explained as possible, while offering lots of encouragement and building musical community along the way. Students are required to participate in performance opportunities, outside of the school day that support and extend learning in the classroom. Students must furnish their own ukulele and accessories.
