Supporting Guerin Catholic
At Guerin Catholic High School there are a number of ways that families, friends and supporters of Guerin can support the mission and needs of the School. These opportunities are outlined below.

Major Gifts
Major gifts are contributed by parents, grandparents, friends and other donors for a specific need including scholarship support, named gift opportunities, capital needs or other major funding priorities of Guerin Catholic High School. Major gifts are above and beyond regular Annual Fund donations and provide donors with special opportunities to assist Guerin Catholic in a significant and meaningful way. Scholarship Gifts
Guerin Catholic High School is committed to providing every Catholic student in our parishes with the opportunity to benefit from our Catholic school, never excluding a student based on their inability to pay tuition. To make this possible Guerin Catholic High School has established a Scholarship Fund. All donations given to this fund will enable the school to offer support to its students through need-based financial assistance and academic scholarships.

Endowment Gifts
This form of contribution to Guerin Catholic High School is placed in a permanent fund that allows only a percentage of earned income to be spent. The principal is invested. Endowed funds may be created for scholarship aid, faculty support and professional growth, and operational and buildings and ground maintenance. The larger the endowment, the more income Guerin Catholic will have to support the operating budget. Endowed funds can provide donors with the means to establish a living tribute in perpetuity in honor or in memory of a family member, loved one or institution or organization.

Unrestricted Gifts
Such donations provide Guerin Catholic High School with the flexibility to direct the funds wherever the need is greatest. These donations are vital, as Guerin Catholic relies on this form of giving to aid in meeting operating costs, and balance the budget.

Restricted Gifts
A restricted gift is directed for a particular use by the donor and typically forms the basis of a major or named gift. Examples of restricted gifts include scholarships, capital needs, endowments and gifts that recognize a specific requirement of a department of the school such as athletics, the arts, or the campus ministry program.
