MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome to St. Theodore Guerin High School!

We continue to increase our enrollment, offering the opportunity for more students to grow in faith, to develop their academic gifts, and to answer the call to serve others. This summer we added the long-awaited new parking lot, more than doubling our parking space. We have added one hundred new lockers inside as well. There have been four more temporary classrooms added, bringing the total to twelve. We continue our Opening Doors capital campaign with the goal of adding a new academic wing. We are so thankful for the generosity of our donors, who continue to help us meet the needs of our growing community.

We also begin the school year with a brand new vision statement. It reads simply:

Lead with Humility * Serve with Love * Trust in Providence

We are proud of the statement. It is active rather than passive, giving both the students and the adults in the building a moral compass by which to live their lives. It concludes with the acknowledgment that we are not in control, and that we must place our trust in God. At a conference this summer, I heard a quote regarding the role of Catholic schools in the building of community: "The role of Catholic schools is not to build community, but rather to unveil the community that God intended." I believe our vision statement speaks to the type of community God intends for us.

Stories from HaitiWe offer an education with a foundation in the Catholic faith, allowing our young people to maximize their God-given abilities. A Guerin Catholic student can expect a challenging academic curriculum, individual attention from caring educators, and an emphasis on spirituality and service to others. They will make friends and build lasting relationships along the way. Guerin Catholic is blessed with an outstanding faculty, and a caring and dedicated staff and administration. The adults in our building care about young people – about their educational, social, and spiritual needs. .
