Guerin Catholic High School is governed by the bishop and the School Governing Board. A separate corporate Board of Directors (legal title: Hamilton County Catholic High School Corporation) is also in place. Membership on the Board of Directors includes: Timothy L. Doherty, diocesan bishop; Msgr. Robert Sell, Vicar General; Fr. Robert Williams; Mr. Robert Quinn, Diocesan Finance Officer; and Mr. G.Gary Malone, Executive Partner, H.J. Umbaugh and Associates, appointee. The Board of Directors serves as the board of the civil corporation and assists the bishop in his task of ensuring the Catholic identity and financial viability of the high school.
The School Governing Board is made up of clergy and laity representing the area diocesan parishes, as well as community and business leaders. The School Governing Board is a working board and oversees the work of its standing and ad hoc committees including Development, Facilities, Catholic Life, Finance, and the Administration Sub-Committee. These committees assist the Guerin Catholic High School Governing Board and school administration in formulating policy and program objectives. Chairpersons of each standing committee serve on the School Governing Board. The full membership of the committees forms the Executive Council. The School Governing Board has the responsibilities for ratifying all school policies and evaluating the school president.
