Catholic Mission

jankoWelcome to the home of Saint Theodore Guerin Catholic High School on the web! My name is Father Joshua Janko, Director for Catholic Mission. I have had the privilege of serving here since July of 2011. One of my responsibilities is to support our faculty, staff, students and families in remaining true to our Catholic Mission. What is the Catholic Mission of Guerin Catholic High School? Well, like our school’s mission statement states, we as a Roman Catholic college preparatory school have been called by God “to serve students from diverse backgrounds and preparing them to be servant leaders through authentic faith formation, academic excellence, and student life opportunities.” I also serve at Guerin Catholic High School full time to help encourage our family to remain true to our school’s vision to “Lead with Humility, Serve with Love and Trust in Providence. I celebrate Mass, hear confessions, help with Theology classes, attend retreats, and whatever else I can do to keep our Catholic Mission strong.

Guerin Catholic High School is located in Noblesville, Indiana in the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana (www.dol-in.org). Bishop Timothy L. Doherty, and Bishop William L. Higi before him, have always remained very supportive of Guerin Catholic. Bishop Doherty shared in an article of the Catholic Moment on 30 January 2011 that “Every Catholic school and educator is alive to having a measurably Catholic identity. Central to this is believing in Christ and in the Church (listen to the Creed on Sunday). Central to believing is loving and trusting God in Christ.” This is what we strive to do each day at Guerin Catholic. We believe in Jesus Christ and the Church He founded. We also work diligently to love and trust God and to love and serve our neighbor.
