Why do we serve? At Guerin Catholic, we try to model our lives after Jesus and how He lived out his life. Jesus didn't come to rule over us, rather than to serve us. He calls each of us to live out our lives the same way He did and be servant leaders in our own communities. These service hours aren't meant to be extra homework for your student, rather a life lesson about what Jesus did for us and how we can be good stewards and servant leaders.

"For even the son of man came not to be served but to serve,and to give his life as a ransom for many" -Mark 10:45 

What are the requirments? Students will complete a minimum of 120 service hours upon graduation. 30 hours will be required every year. Of these 30 service hours, at least 18 must be completed at a community church or parish, or at an event sponsored by a church or parish. The other 12 can be done at Guerin Catholic or anywhere else within the community. 

Any student that does not meet the 30 hour requirment after May 10, 2013 will not be allowed to participate in any extracurricular activities; such as sports, clubs, or events held at the school. We ASK that students turn in their service hour form within two weeks of having done the project.

Service hours should be submitted to the Campus Minister, Kate Warne.

OLMC Mulch Party May 11th – Landscape Volunteers Needed! Seeking volunteers to help with our Mulch Party on May 11th.  Looking for current and one-time volunteers for this event. Mary's W.A.Y. 
Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be having our third annual Mary's W. A. Y. (Women Answering Yes to the Lord) Dinner on Tuesday, May 14th
6:00-9:00 PM. The evening is from. This is an evening to celebrate the vocation of womanhood and the blessings of Our Mother Mary.
We are seeking High School girls (7th & 8th grade girls, too) to help serve the tables. The server will help anyone at the table that may need assistance getting through the buffet line, clear her assigned table, and assist with the final clean up.  This is a great way to fill your cup (hear a wonderful speaker) as well as get service hours.  
There are 3 ways to sign up.

We are only able take the first 45 girls to sign up. More detailed information will follow. This is a wonderful opportunity for our daughters to celebrate and honor Mary's Way.  Besides, it is a really fun evening!  Thank God for Mary!

•   Seton Summer Series (VBS) June 10-14 from 9am-Noon, Set up Day on June 6th from 9 am-Noon:  Middle School and High School Youth are needed in a variety of positions.  If you work the entire week, you receive a minimum of 15  Parish Service Hours to count for the start of your next school year!  Sign up ends June 1st.   There have been wait lists the past couple of years due to the high volume of youth volunteers requesting a position. St. Louis de Montfort is in need of volunteers to teach/help out with the EDGE ministry program (6th-8th grade) for the 2012-2013 school year. “5 loaves and 2 Fish” biweekly Saturdays (319 E South St., Lebanon)

Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources, Inc.
Volunteers are needed to assist special needs individuals riding ponies and horses.  This is a very special and rewarding volunteer opportunity!  Their next training session is Tuesday, May 14th from 6-9 PM.  Please visit their website www.agaperiding.org for more information and to register.

The Third Option – Winter Session Group is in need of 2-4 babysitters per evening. They meet on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. beginning with November 1st here at Guerin Catholic.
